Hello families! Thank you for your patience as I worked to create an alternative concert opportunity for your students. The original date just wasn’t right for the ensembles at the time. The new plan is as follows:
Tuesday, March 30th
– 5:00 – 6:45pm – Concert Orchestra
– 7:00 – 8:45pm – Philharmonic Orchestra
Wednesday, March 31st
– 5:00 – 6:45pm – Chamber Orchestra
– 7:00 – 8:45pm – Symphony Orchestra
These concerts will function much like December. There will still be no audience, my apologies. Students will rehearse, and hopefully have a chance for sectionals with a professional musician. We will then polish and record our music. The recording will be made available for families and friends, just like last time.
I apologize for the relative short notice. It is my hope that all students will be able to attend. There are no school sport competitions, and coaches should be flexible on allowing students to miss for this co-curricular event. All attendees will be masked, and social distancing & cleaning procedures will be followed. I have been fully vaccinated, but will remain masked and socially distant as well. Students will wear concert dress – black orchestra shirts, black dress bottoms, and black dress shoes/socks. As a reminder, no jeans, sweatpants, leggings, sneakers, or other causal shoes are permitted.
